Robotron presents NetzIQ platform at E-world 2026: Digital platform for intelligent low-voltage grid management

Energy

The digitalisation of low voltage is an operational necessity for distribution grid operators today. Regulatory requirements from Section 14a EnWG and Redispatch 2.0 meet increasing operational complexity due to decentralised generation systems, electromobility and heat pumps. Scalable IT architectures are required that not only enable controllability, but also demonstrate compliance in accordance with Section 12 EnWG. With the NetzIQ platform, Robotron is presenting a new solution for intelligent low-voltage grid management at E-world 2026, which links measurement data, grid status information and control logic to create a consistent, quality-assured data flow.

Digital basis for real-time grid management and control

The Robotron NetzIQ platform makes it possible to receive and process measurement data in real time from intelligent measuring systems (iMSys), local network stations and other sources while applying KRITIS requirements. Based on the scalable microservice architecture in the Robotron IoTHub4Utilities, high-volume measurement data can be processed in real time.

The platform handles intelligent network status data management and thus creates the basis for partner solutions. Measured values are checked for plausibility, status messages are calculated and aggregated according to network topology. The platform provides specialised partner solutions with the data in real time via standardised APIs so that measures to eliminate grid bottlenecks can be automatically derived based on the grid status information.

For maximum transparency in operation, the platform offers clear visualisations, for example in a map display of the low-voltage grids, in which statuses and faults are highlighted in colour and time series and message lists are immediately available.

End-to-end control chain for Section 14a EnWG and secure market communication

A central component of the NetzIQ platform is the implementation of the control chain in accordance with Section 14a EnWG via the BDEW Web API. Directory services are integrated and all necessary cryptographic requirements are implemented to ensure secure and legally compliant control.

In addition, the long-term archiving of measurement and control data in time series databases and EDM systems enables seamless verification and also supports strategic grid planning.

The platform is also closely interlinked with the market communication processes - in particular with the universal ordering process and, in future, with the requirements relating to Redispatch 3.0. Relevant master data is managed centrally and utilised efficiently.

Proven in practice and regulatory sound

With the platform, Robotron not only offers an end-to-end solution, but also a high level of IT security, regulatory depth and a flexible connection to peripheral systems. The practicality of the solution has already been proven in numerous projects for network-orientated control.
